
CAROL SOMER -- Coloring Outside the Lines in Corporate Communications
Corporate Communications does not have to be boring, even in the highly regulated and conservative world of healthcare. And today, no matter what industry you’re in, high expectations, limited resources and impossible challenges are a given. With her art-school background, it’s not surprising Carol found coloring outside the lines to often be the best option.
Currently principal of CBS Communications in Carlsbad, Calif., Carol will present a case study from her work as corporate communications director at Bridge Medical, a Solana Beach health IT firm she helped position for acquisition. She will show how she leveraged external assets, piggybacked on others’ news, even created new organizations, to promote Bridge’s reputation and patient safety products.
