 James Hill is the Vice President of Global Supply Chain Operations and Demand Planning at Callaway Golf in Carlsbad, California.  He has 20 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations experience across a number of leading companies and industries.  He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Purchasing and Materials Management from Cal State University, Hayward.  James started his career in the automotive industry with Toyota, working at the NUMMI joint venture with General Motors in Fremont, California, for 7 years.  While there, he worked his way from Associate Buyer to Purchasing Manager.  Following his work at Toyota, James moved Tandem and Compaq computer in a Corporate Purchasing Manager role and then on to JDS Uniphase, a leading provider of optical products and related equipment, as the Director of Supply Chain.  In 2004, he moved to San Diego to lead Strategic Sourcing at Biogen Idec Pharmaceuticals and left there to join Callaway Golf in January of 2006 as the Sr. Director of Supply Chain Operations.  In March of 2007, he was promoted to Vice President of Global Supply Chain.  During 2008 and 2009, he also led golf club assembly operations and in 2010 integrated Demand Planning into the Supply Chain organization.  He and his team currently support the full range of hard goods, soft goods, and electronics designed, built, and distributed by the company globally.
