Bob Watkins

Bob Watkins, President & Chairman, established R.J. Watkins & Company, Ltd. in 1980 with offices in San Diego, San Francisco and London. His experience includes President & CEO of a $200 million entertainment company and Managing Director for the San Diego office of the international consulting firm of Russell Reynolds Associates.  He has held executive positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation, serving on the corporation's acquisition and divestiture team.  He also served as Management Consultant for the national accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. 

Most recently, Bob was a candidate for U.S. Congress in California's 52nd District. He is currently serving his third term as the President of San Diego County Board of Education. He is on the Board of Directors and on the Executive Committees for the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation and the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. Bob is active on the Boards of Regenesis Biomedical, Urigen, and Meals on Wheels. He is a founding member and Trustee of the San Diego National Sports Foundation, the organizer and builder of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego.  Bob has served as Chairman of the Lincoln Club of San Diego. He was on the Board of Directors for San Diego International Sports Council and the YMCA of San Diego County; was Chairman of the Board of the San Diego County American Red Cross; and was the President of the San Diego Natural History Museum's Board of Trustees. He is also a founding member and three-term President of United States Rugby. He is a partner in Tollbridge Ventures LLC; Aztec Venture Network, LLC, a seed capital venture fund.

Bob is a graduate of San Diego State University.
